Free tables

Free tables will again be issued as Mensa cards.

From June 2022, applications can only be submitted in the social office hours.

If you are in a particularly difficult financial situation, you can apply for a Freitisch at the AStA in the social counseling office. This free table means €65/month for meals in the canteen.

You can find application forms and corresponding information sheets at the AStA counter or at the bottom of this page. In order for the free tables to be distributed fairly, you must state your income (including the money you receive from your parents), your rent, health insurance contribution etc.. You must submit your certificate of enrollment, proof of social commitment and complete bank statements for the last three months. Please do not see this as harassment! We just want to make sure that the free tables really do reach those who need them most. There is no legal entitlement to a free table.

The application is always valid for three months. After that, a new application must be submitted. To apply, submit the documents to the social office by the 20th of the month preceding the allocation period at the latest.

Free table cards are approved and issued on a monthly basis.

You will then receive the card by the 10th of the month for a deposit of €15 at the counter in the AStA offices.  In your own interest, you should remember to collect the card every month, otherwise the entitlement will expire.

The chip card approved for one month should be collected by the 10th of the month.
